Health Benefits of walking (Exercise)

I don’t know about you guys but I hate to workout especially if it’s repetitive motion. You probably won’t find me on a treadmill for this reason. I like the elliptical machine but sometimes I find it boring. This is why I’ll never join a gym again. Exercise has to be fun for me or I won’t stay on track with it. Now you all know why I love the Zumba workout so much. In addition, I’ve found that walking a trail is quite beneficial. For starters, once you start walking on a trail, you have to finish it. You can’t sit out for 5 minutes to catch your breath. Any exercise has benefits but I’ve found that walking is easy. You don’t have to buy a gym membership or a set of videos and anybody can do it. I found a good article that details the benefits of walking, from lowering blood pressure and blood sugar levels to helping improve sleep and curing depression. If this doesn’t motivate you to get started, I don’t know what will. As always consult your health care provider before you start any exercise regimen. I look forward to seeing all of you on the trail!
