I don’t know about you all but I’ve been a bit weary with all the bad news in the world today. It just seems like evil is overcoming good. Well in my time of communion with the Lord yesterday, He gave me this word: He’s sending strength to His church to stand. Do not be discouraged for evil will not overcome the church of Jesus Christ but the church of Jesus Christ will overcome evil.
My charge to everyone is to make your election sure. It’s time to stop riding the fence.
Revelation 3:15-17New International Version (NIV)
15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
If the above verse doesn’t describe the church today, I don’t know what does. We’ve amassed so much wealth (supposed to be used to propagate the gospel) that we’ve become lazy in our fervor for God. Instead of taking a stand for God, we look the other way while evil abounds. God is tired of it and in the days ahead He’s requiring us to decide if we’re really for Him or not. If we don’t do it ourselves, He’ll do it for us.
For those who are truly on the Lord’s side, God is going to anoint you with supernatural strength to stand against the devil and his minions in these evil times and we will be like it says in
32 With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.

so bearing this in mind, let the words of the following scripture come alive in our hearts and be the order of the day for us:

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me (all of us that are part of the body of Christ), that utterance may be given unto me (us), that I (we) may open my (our)mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel.
I know that the devil is even now trying to pervert “God is Love” into something it shouldn’t be. Yes, God’s character is love. He loved us so much that He became human as Jesus and died for us but God’s love for us isn’t a universal acceptance of evil. The Bible says he that the Lord loves, He chastises just as a father chastises a son he loves. To chastise means to bring correction to. God loves us enough to correct us and our lives when we’re wrong. I could go on and on but I’ll stop here for now.
He that has an ear let him heed what the Lord has said to His church! SELAH!
